Hi, my name is Kelly and I am excited to be continuing my journey at Bethlehem Preschool, as Center Director this year. I have enjoyed being a teacher and Office Manager for the past few years and I am honored to work with all of the children and families in our tight community. I am thankful to be a part of such an amazing and loving learning environment. I will complete my bachelors in Child Development this fall from Point Loma Nazarene University and have many years of experience working with young children in various capacities.

When I am not at Bethlehem, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two boys, Makai and Liam. We spend a lot of time at the beach, walking, biking, and sailing. I also enjoy arts and crafts, cooking, and taking care of our basset hound, Hanz.

I am looking forward to another amazing year of learning and new discoveries at Bethlehem!

Hi, my name is Ashley LeVitus and I am beyond excited to be joining the Bethlehem family. To share a little bit about me, I grew up in Minnesota before moving to Southern California. Once here, I attended Mira Costa College receiving an Associate Teacher Certificate for Early Childhood Education. During my education and experience working as a classroom Assistant Teacher and Preschool Teacher, I learned the importance of developing well thought out lesson plans, differentiating curriculum and instruction to meet the needs of all learners. My philosophy is to create a positive and challenging learning environment that will empower children to become responsible and productive citizens. I am a highly motivated educator who will bring energy and hard work to Bethlehem Preschool. I believe in working as an active team member who will effectively collaborate and establish quality relationships with the children and their families.

Robin Secades

Robin Secades

Teacher

Hi, my name is Robin Secades and I’m thrilled to join the Bethlehem Preschool family! I am truly a San Diego native, living in North County all my life. My family, which includes my husband, two older teenage boys and our black lab named Tulip, have been living in Carlsbad for over 20 years. My family is active in Boy Scouts with our sons, both leading and mentoring youth and participating in voluntary service projects in our community for over 11 years. My family and I are also longtime members with our local church in Carlsbad, where I serve in the Sunday preschool program. In my free time, I love doing Jazzercise and running with my friends. I have a long history of running races, which includes 7 marathons. I am a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), I have a Child Development Associate Teacher Certificate and will receive my Associates Degree in this program, Fall 2020. Prior to joining the Bethlehem community, I worked in public schools for several years, working mainly with Pre-k and kindergarten, with the last two school years meeting the needs of preschool children in special education. This experience, along with my education and being a parent myself, has made me the teacher I am today; meeting children where they are, with patience, kindness and encouragement to be their very best. I can’t wait to get to know you and your child here at Bethlehem!
